Calculus' Cave is a fun little retro-style educational game designed to help children practise the four basic math operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

The game is inspired by Minus Mission, released in 1982 for the Texas Instruments TI-99/4A computer.

The objective:

Bats carrying mathematical operations fly above your head: 2+3, 5×2, 9−4… Your mission is to catch as many of them as possible using your special slingshot!

But there's a catch: you must load your slingshot with the correct answer first. Type the result on the keyboard, then press the space bar to fire.

Use the left and right arrow keys to move around, line up your shots, and catch as many bats as you can!

Watch out! The longer you play, the more bats appear and the faster they fly!

You have a maximum of 4 minutes to achieve the highest score possible. But be careful! Your energy level decreases if you hit a bat you haven't caught before, or if you fire a projectile with an incorrect answer.

The game ends when the 4 minutes are up or when your energy level reaches zero. So stay sharp and make every shot count!

You can tailor the game to your preferences with a few simple options:

Language: English or French.
Math operations: all four operations, or just one of the four basic operations.

Choose your settings and set your own challenge!

Ready to take on the challenge? Catch those bats, give your brain a workout, and have fun with Calculus' Cave!

Use of AI:
AI has been used for bitmap backgrounds.
Sprites and code are "human generated"!.
