MR. CHANG, new game for Micro-8 !

Mr. Chang is a game inspired by Mr. Chin, an MSX game released in 1984 that I used to play when I was 13 or 14 years old.

Inside an ancient temple, Mr. Chang must carefully balance spinning plates on poles located on each of the temple's three floors.

But be careful! The plates are unstable, and the longer they remain on the poles, the more likely they are to fall.

Mr. Chang must regularly climb back to the top of each pole to steady them before they come crashing down.




And that's not all!

Evil witches roam the temple, occasionally throwing knives and barrels at poor Mr. Chang.

He'll have to duck to avoid the knives and jump over the barrels if he wants to survive.

Once all the plates have been successfully placed on one floor, Mr. Chang can move up to the next floor and repeat the challenge.



When every plate in the temple has been placed, the level is complete and you move on to the next one.

There are five levels in total.

Known issue: the timing of the sound effects and the "music" (a rather generous term, since although I enjoy listening to music, I have absolutely no talent as a composer!) can occasionally be a bit erratic...

We played it at our meeting and we all loved it.

I think we discovered a bug.



When we jumped from the pole to the second floor, we were left in the air unable to walk, only jump.

Thanks ! I will check that asap!
 

Here is the new version (also on GitHub).

Bug was that normally you cannot jump if you are not on the floor (no jump from pole allowed). That was not the case is the first version.
Also corrected that for each plate on Round 1 you put on a pole you earned 1000 points instead of 100.
